About us
Corbett & Sons were incorporated in 1972 by my parents, Anne and Mick. They have operated on 'only-as-good-as-the-last-job' basis since then, weathering several recessions, safe in the belief that keeping customers happy will maintain a successful and profitable business.
My name is Joe Corbett and I am the main 'son' in Corbett & Sons. I have recently taken over the business following their retirement and I have completed a 20-year training program! I started at the bottom and have learnt this business from the tools, working alongside our operatives and often help out - although the lads might dispute that!
We are a small company which enables us to offer a flexible service using our long-serving employees and can thank our existing client base for constantly testing us with short notice projects.
I am always available for my clients and make it my mission to make their lives easier - though I'm not much use with personal, sexual or emotional problems.
We are also current with all Health & Safety legislation and provide a site specific risk assessment and method statement with all jobs - for more information on this, you can download PDF sample documents including our company insurance and relevant paperwork in the Health & Safety Link. The management and key team members are constantly attending relevant safety courses and training.
We believe in raising standards in the industry and belong to the following quality and trade associations; Safe Contractor Scheme, Federation of Master Builders, Construction Line and the Painting & Decorating Association. We are also Approved Contractors for Rustoleum Mathys, but use the entire range of decorative and protective coatings manufacturers including Dulux, and are happy to accommodate any requests for specific suppliers.
